Information meeting on Wednesday about moving Royal Vale High School to CSL

The City of Côte Saint-Luc and parents who support moving Royal Vale High School from NDG to Côte Saint-Luc are co-hosting an information meeting on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at 7:30 pm to get feedback and build support for the move, which is currently being studied by the English Montreal School Board, or EMSB.

The meeting takes place at the new Côte Saint-Luc Aquatic and Community Centre (5794 Parkhaven Ave.) and will include a tour of the $18 million facility. Côte Saint-Luc is preparing a brief to the EMSB in support of the proposal.

The Côte Saint-Luc Aquatic and Community Centre, or ACC, is across the street from the former Wagar High School building, which would house Royal Vale High School. The indoor pools and other facilities at the ACC coupled with the gymnasium next door and the nearby arena, soccer fields soon-to-be-renovated tennis courts and three baseball fields makes the proposed location an ideal one for students wishing to participate in sports at a high level.
