GENERAL INFORMATION - 514-485-6806

• All cheques must be made payable to the City of Côte Saint-Luc. Payment by Visa, MasterCard and Interac are also available for the deposit portion only. The post-dated portion can only be paid by cheque.

• Upon registration, a deposit of 50% of the total amount owing is required in addition to a post-dated cheque, dated for May 16, 2008, covering the balance.

• Sessions A and C will include one field trip, whereas sessions B and D will include a special event. The Yitzhak Rabin, Trudeau Nursery and Meadowbrook Golf Camp do not participate in these two activities.

• The deadline to register for any session is the previous Wednesday at noon, in order to allow for time to finalize group lists. Past this deadline, registration will be accepted pending availability. A 5 percent premium will apply.

• A three-day pre-camp will take place on June 25, 26 and 27. Early bird fees do not apply.

• An early bird registration will be in effect from April 1 to May 30. The regular registration fee will be in effect as of June 2. These rates are 10% higher than our early bird fees.

• Additional fees: Mandatory t-shirt: $5 (required for outings) + outing transport fee: $5 / trip (Sessions A & C)

EARLY DROP-OFF/LATE PICK-UP SERVICE

Does not apply to meadowbrook golf camp. An 8am early morning drop off service is provided for working parents at an extra cost of $13(R), $16(NR) per week. A late pick-up service is provided for working parents at an extra cost of $16(R), $20(NR) per week until 5:30pm. All children must be dropped off and picked up from the park at which they are registered.

 

YITZHAK RABIN NURSERY CAMP (2 1/2 - 4 YRS) 

A wide variety of exciting activities including special events, daily swim in the wading pool (weather permitting) and much more! Half day and full day options are available * Must be 2 1/2 yrs. by Sept. 28, 2008

TRUDEAU CREATIVE ARTS CAMP (5 - 12 YRS) 

This camp offers a great mix of arts and crafts activities, as well as daily swimming lessons. Activities led by specialists include cooking, science and nature, day workshops and more. A certain number of sports and fitness activities will be included in the children’s routine. *Must be 5 yrs. by Sept. 28, 2008

MAIMONIDES SPORTS AND FITNESS CAMP (5 - 12 YRS) 

This camp will include a variety of sports and physical activities to promote cardio-vascular strength, flexibility and skill development. Certain fitness and sports activities will be led by specialists. Sports activities will include tennis, soccer, basketball and swimming lessons. Fitness activities will include daily swim, physical education and nutrition workshops, boot camp and flexibility (boys) and aerobics and yoga (girls). * Must be 5 yrs. by Sept. 28, 2008

Section I: 5 –8 yrs.                Section II: 9 – 12 yrs.

MEADOWBROOK GOLF CAMP (6 - 16 YRS)

The Golf Camp program is an intensive 3-day golf clinic. Our goal is to provide beginners with an introduction to the game of golf, allowing them to gain new skills, while sharpening the skills of a more experienced golfer. Instruction by Gerry Ferguson, head club professional at Meadowbrook Golf Club. This camp will follow the instructional components as a part of the Future Links National Canadian Golf Program. Golf camp participants may bring their own golf clubs. Club rentals available on site at a reduced fee. Campers must provide their own transportation to Meadowbrook Golf Club for 9am on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On Mondays and Tuesdays, campers can be integrated into the Maimonides Sports Day Camp Program ***. Limited registration to 25 participants per session - first come, first served. C.I.T. PROGRAM (13 - 15 YRS)

Participate in a Counsellor Training Program (3 out of 5 days), under the guidance of a trained leader. For the remaining 2 days, CITs will assist the counsellors with a group of children based on a park of their choice. * Must be 13 yrs. by Sept. 28, 2008

L.I.T. PROGRAM (13 - 14 YRS) 

Two 4-week sessions. Must have passed Aquaquest 12 or equivalent. Lifeguards in training are under the supervision of a certified lifeguard at the Côte Saint-Luc Municipal Pool to learn and assist in all operations of the pool. A compulsory Bronze Cross or Bronze Medallion course is an integral part of the program.

*** NEW *** LEGO CAMP (6 - 7 YRS)

This new camp will allow children to explore their creativity through Lego building. Improves dexterity and hand-eye coordination. This camp includes a variety of sports and physical activities, such as daily swim, tennis, soccer and basketball.

*** NEW *** TEEN OUTDOOR ADVENTURE EXCHANGE CAMP (12 - 15 YRS)

A unique experience is offered to Côte Saint-Luc teens in search of adventure this summer! The City of Côte Saint-Luc has partnered with the Town of Chevery, to offer a teen day camp exchange program. Chevery is a coastal fishing town with a population on 300 residents, situated on the gulf of the Saint-Lawrence River, 600 kilometres east of Baie Comeau. The teens from Côte Saint-Luc will have the opportunity to travel and experience the true coastal life. Families who will take part in this summer program will be responsible to welcome all the traveling teens with meals and lodging during their stay.

Description of activities in Chevery:
• Nature-based exploration: hiking, beach survey, learning about bio-diversity and species at risk.
• Culture-based activities: creation of crafts, traditional cuisine, learning traditional skills that shaped the local culture.
• Art-based activities: digital photography, poetry, writing short stories, sculpture.

Description and schedule of activities during period spent in Côte Saint-Luc:
• Activities will be held weekdays from 9am - 4pm at the Parks and Recreation Department or in day- time outings in the Montreal area. A weekend outing on August 2 and an evening outing on August 6 are planned; family members are welcomed to join (there is a fee).
• Activities while in the Montreal area will consist of a combination of swimming, sports, science and outings. The group will have the chance to explore the culture, diversity and excitement of living on the island of Montreal.

Educational component
While in Côte Saint-Luc, an introductory Counsellor in Training program will be offered to the teens and in Chevery the campers will learn about leisure experience in remote rural communities.

Group size: 12 teens from each community

Dates: July 20 - July 27 in Chevery
           July 28 - August 8 in Côte Saint-Luc

Cost: $2,220 (R), $2,530 (NR)
Includes round trip airfare and all activities. Registration required by June 20, 2008, in order to secure flights to and from Chevery. Medical insurance required for participation in the program.

 

TENNIS AND SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY ACADEMY DAY CAMP (5 - 17 YRS)

This day camp includes 3 hours of tennis, 1 hour of soccer, as well as swimming and sports psychology. Full-day and half-day registrations are available. Early drop off / pickup options available.
