Public Notice: Polling of November 1, 2009
TO SOLE OCCUPANTS OF A BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENT
TO UNDIVIDED CO-OWNERS OF AN IMMOVABLE
TO CO-OCCUPANTS OF A BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENT
WITHIN THE TERRITORY OF THE CITY OF CôTE SAINT-LUC
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given by the Undersigned Returning Officer:
• The sole owners of an immovable and sole occupants of a business establishment, who do not already have the right to be entered on the electoral list as a domiciled person, may be entered on the electoral list for the current municipal election, provided that the following conditions are met:
1. must be a person (i.e. vs. a corporation) of full age (at least 18 years old) on November 1, 2009;
2. must be a Canadian citizen and not under curatorship as of September 1, 2009, and on said date, must not have been convicted, within the past five years, of an offence that is considered a corrupt electoral practice within the meaning of section 645, of the Act respecting school elections (chapter E-2.3) or the Election Act (chapter E-3.3);
3. must be the sole owner of an immovable or the sole occupant of a business establishment located within the territory of the municipality, for, at least, the past twelve months on of September 1, 2009;
4. must have transmitted to the municipality, at the address noted below (regarding questions or comments), an application for entry on the electoral list on September 27, 2009, the latest;
• The undivided co-owners of an immovable and co-occupants of a business establishment, who do not already have the right to be entered on the electoral list as a domiciled person, or as the sole owner of an immovable or as the sole occupant of a business establishment, may be entered on the electoral list for the current polling, provided that the following conditions are met:
1. must be a person (i.e. vs. a corporation) of full age (at least 18 years old) on November 1, 2009;
2. must be a Canadian citizen and not under curatorship as of September 1, 2009, and on said date, must not have been convicted, within the past five years, of an offence that is a considered corrupt electoral practice within the meaning of section 645, of the Act respecting school elections (chapter E-2.3) or the Election Act (chapter E-3.3);
3. must be the undivided co-owner of an immovable or co-occupant of a business establishment located within the territory of the municipality, for, at least, twelve months on September 1, 2009 ;
4. must have been designated by a power of attorney, signed by the majority of co-owners or co-occupants, who are electors on September 1, 2009;
5. must have transmitted to the municipality, at the address noted below (regarding questions or comments), an application for entry on the electoral list on September 27, 2009, the latest.
PLEASE NOTE that the application for entry or the power of attorney sent after September 27, 2009, but no later than October 16, 2009 (last day prescribed by the Returning Officer to present a request to the Board of Revisors), will be considered an application to amend the electoral list.
