Winter Carnival Sock-Hop Dance

In 2009, the Winter Carnival dance was brought back in the form of a 50’s & 60’s Sock Hop. The event was held on February 14 in the Côte Saint-Luc Gym and had a Valentine’s Day theme to it. The community responded extremely well to this come back dance which saw some of the dancers show up in 50’s & 60’s garb adding to the fun evening. Participants really danced the night away. The decoration were beautiful, the finger food catered by Solly’s was delicious, the sweet table was enjoyed by all and the door prizes were plentiful. On the whole it was a great event which will more than likely see a return as part of the 2010 Carnival.
