Blood donor clinic 2009 recap
The City of Côte Saint-Luc blood donor clinic on May 5, 2009 helped Hema Québec collect 132 units of blood, surpassing the goal of 125 units.
“We are grateful to our residents, members of the city council and staff who rolled up their sleeves and donated blood,” said Councillor Ruth Kovac, the chairperson of the annual event. “We exceeded our goal and have done our part to help Hema Québec supply life-saving blood to those in our province who need it.”
The event was sponsored by The Suburban newspaper, Carvelli Restaurant, Delly Boys, Paragon Cleaners, TCBY and the West End Gym.
“A special thanks goes out our incredible volunteers who devote many hours of their time to make this event a success. I also want to thank broadcast legend Dick Irvin who visited and shared some great hockey stories with donors,” Councillor Kovac said.
