Montreal Walks for Mental Health 2009

More than 550 people put on their running shoes to walk together for the Montreal Walks for mental health, with honorary chair, Margaret Trudeau.

This event, which took place on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Pierre Elliott Trudeau Park in CSL, was organized in collaboration with the CSSS Cavendish, the City of Côte Saint Luc and community partners including Agence OMETZ, AMI Québec, CSSS Cavendish, Cummings Jewish Centre for Seniors, L’Abri en Ville and Forward House.

Aimed at promoting awareness and at reducing stigma associated with mental illness, the walk helped raised $7,500 for participating community groups that provide mental health services.
