Garbage collection

The City of Côte Saint-Luc collects divides garbage collection into two sectors to more efficiently make use of our fleet of garbage trucks and manpower.

  • Mondays and Thursdays from at 8am to 9pm: All streets east of Parkhaven Ave.
  • Tuesdays and Fridays from 8am to 9pm: Parkhaven Ave. and all streets west

Holiday schedule

Garbage is collected on holidays.

How to place your garbage

The garbage must be placed on the curb before 8am on the day scheduled for collection. Please put garbage in resistant bags (not torn), closed boxes, garbage bins and plastic or metal garbage cans for a maximum of six (6) containers in whatever combination and weighing no more 45 kg (100 lbs.).

What you can include in regular garbage collection

  • Furniture
  • Carpets (rolled and tied)
  • Mattresses
  • Pool covers (rolled and tied)
  • Hot water tanks
  • Branches, metal and wood scraps, (tied into 5 cm or 2 in. bundles) (see Special Waste Collection)
  • Household appliances (see Special Waste Collection)

What you cannot include in regular garbage collection

  • Construction materials: Regular garbage collection will not pick up such material. However, the city pick up construction materials for reasonable fee. You can also bring the construction materials to the Public Works yards (7001 Mackle Rd.) during our hours of operation and you will not be charged.
