Dance to the oldies but goodies at this year’s winter carnival dance

Côte Saint-Luc, January 29, 2010 – Tickets are now on sale for the 2010 Côte Saint-Luc Winter Carnival Dance, which takes places on Saturday, February 20 at 7:30pm at the Gymnasium located at 7500 Mackle Rd.

“The theme of the dance is ‘Oldies but Goodies,’ which means people are far more likely to hear Chuck Berry or The Beatles than Justin Timberlake or Miley Cyrus,” said Councillor Mitchell Browntsein, who is a co-chairperson of the winter carnival. “If you are old enough to have watched the Montreal Olympic Games, this dance is for you.”

Tickets are only available in advance and are on sale at the Parks and Recreation Department Building (7500 Mackle Rd.) weekdays between 8:30am and 4:30pm, at the Samuel Moskovitch Arena office (6985 Mackle Rd.) weekdays between 9am and 5pm or at its pro shop on evenings and weekends. Tickets cost $18 each.

“There will be door prizes, dance contests, hors d’oeuvres and a sweet table,” said Councillor Allan J. Levine, who is a co-chairperson of the winter carnival. “Soft drinks can be purchased at the dance and you are invited to bring your own wine.”

Residents can learn more about the 2010 Côte Saint-Luc Winter Carnival Dance by calling 514-485-6806 or visiting www.CoteSaintLuc.org.
