Lancement du Service Enfants fraîchement rénové et coup d’envoi du club de lecture d’été à la bibliothèque

Côte Saint-Luc, June 13, 2008 – The Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library will re-launch its newly renovated children’s department on Sunday, June 15 at 2:30pm.

This event will give the community a chance to see the exciting new changes at the children’s department, including new areas and educational tools. Kids will have the chance to test out the library’s new Wii console on a giant screen, the new microscope, ‘reading pen’, new televisions and DVD players.

It is also the kick-off to the summer reading club so children can register for this free program and receive a reading kit to work on at home. Since the theme of the summer reading club this year is Laugh Out Loud someone will be circulating the room making balloon animals for the kids.

“This grand opening gives families a chance to see the new face of the children’s department at the library,” Mayor Anthony Housefather said. “I encourage families to bring their kids to this event.”

This is a free event. The Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library is located at 5851 Cavendish Blvd. and is open from 10am to 10pm every day. For more information, call the library at 514-485-6900 or visit www.elcslpl.org.
