Programs abound this April at the Cote Saint-Luc library

Concert in Côte Saint-LucCôte Saint-Luc, March 25, 2011 - Facebook, religion, Tudor-era portraits, bullying, a
Caplet musical concert, and a Neil Simon play will all be presented or
discussed in April at the Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library.

Professor
Robert Tittler, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor Emeritus of History at Concordia University,
will present a two-part lecture series on English portraiture during the Tudor
period: Portraits of the Tudor Kings and Queens.
 Part 1, Portraying Henry VIII, takes
place on Friday, April 1 at 2 pm.  Part 2,
Portraying Elizabeth I, takes place on Friday, April 8 at 2 pm. Tickets
for each lecture are $5 in advance or $7 the day of the event.

On Wednesday, April
6 at 2 pm librarian Kathy Conroy will instruct a Facebook workshop where she will demonstrate the basics
of the popular social networking website. Tickets are $10 for Côte
Saint-Luc residents or library members and $15 for others.

On Thursday,
April 7 at 7 pm Dr. Kees Maas,
a psychologist at Batshaw Youth and Family Centres will present Let's Talk About Bullying, a lecture
geared to parents. A discussion will follow. Tickets are $3 in advance and $5
the day of the event.

On Thursday,
April 14 at 7 pm the Conseil des arts de
Montréal en tournée
and the library present Les Cordes Célestes, a concert
with Quatuor Claudel-Canimex and harpist Valérie Milot, which features early
20th century Caplet music. Tickets
for this concert are $5 in advance and $7 the day of the event.

On Thursday,
April 28 at 7 pm the Performance Playreading Ensemble stars in the
comedy The Sunshine Boys written by
Neil Simon and directed by Aviva Ravel. Tickets
are $5 in advance and $7 day of the event.

Lastly, on
Friday, April 29 at 2 pm Professor F.X. Charet, Ph. D., will launch his
five-part history lecture series: The
Challenge to Belief in God and the Traditions of Judaism, Christianity and
Islam
. The five lectures take place on Fridays at 2 pm from April 29 to May
27. Tickets for each lecture are $5 in advance or $7 the day of the event.

The Eleanor
