A taste of Russian opulence at the Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library

Côte Saint-Luc, August 31, 2012– As part of the fifth annual Côte Saint-Luc Reads program, the Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library is encouraging residents to read the same book and then discuss it with friends, family and neighbours.

The selected novel is The Winter Palace by Eva Stachniak. Copies are available at the library and major bookstores. The novel sweeps readers into the passionate, intimate and treacherous world of Catherine the Great. A novel of historical fiction, it captures in
glorious detail the opulence of royalty and the perilous loyalties of the Imperial Russian court.

Author Eva Stachniak will be at the library on November 1, 2012 at 7 pm to discuss her novel. This event is free of charge. Light
refreshments will be served starting at 6:30 pm.

First launched in the Fall of 2008, Côte Saint-Luc Reads was created to engage residents, foster a sense of community and promote a culture of reading in the city.

The Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library is located at 5851 Cavendish Blvd. and is open from 10 am to 10 pm every day. For more information, call the library at 514-485-6900 or visit www.elcslpl.org.
