Modulations: a new art exhibit at the library’s Art Gallery in Côte Saint-Luc

Modulations exhibit artworkCôte Saint-Luc, October 10, 2012 –The Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library is presenting a series of colourful acrylic paintings by Wil Murray entitled Modulations from October 11 to December 2, 2012 in the library’s art gallery.

This eclectic collection of privately owned paintings represents and reflects Wil Murray’s time in Montreal. These vibrant acrylic artworks were created in the artist’s studio in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district, where he worked for six years. Many of these works were acquired by friends who have had a lasting influence on his artistic style. Abstract in nature, these three-dimensional works highlight a collage-like technique.

Wil Murray was born in Calgary. He studied painting at the Alberta College of Art and Design. He has exhibited across the world, including The National Gallery of Canada, as well as in the United States and in Germany.

His current artworks can be viewed at www.wilmurray.com.
