Public Libraries Week in Côte Saint-Luc features used book sale, electronic petting zoo and more

Used book saleCôte Saint-Luc, October 12, 2012The Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library is holding a two-day book sale on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 11 am to 5 pm—one of several events to mark the fourteenth annual Quebec Public Libraries Week.

The public can donate lightly used books on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26 at the main library branch at 5851 Cavendish Blvd.

The public can also meet library director Janine West and the councillor responsible for the library Sam Goldbloom on Sunday, October 28 from 11 am to 1 pm and ask questions about the library, share feedback, or say hello. Light refreshments will be served.

The Electronic Petting Zoo will take place on Sunday, October 28 from noon to 1 pm. The public can see how different electronic devices work, such as e-book readers.

Also during Public Libraries Week, the Library Express branch at the Aquatic and Community Centre (5794 Parkhaven Ave.) will provide a library crossword. Complete the crossword correctly for a chance to win an e-book reader and a one-hour training session. Only one entry per person. Completed puzzles may be returned to either the Library Express or the main library branch.
