Annual vernissage at the Creative Social Center on Clanranald Ave.

Côte Saint-Luc, September 10, 2013 – The Creative Social Center will host its annual vernissage and sale on Sunday, October 6 from noon to 4:30 pm and  Monday, October 7, from noon to 3 pm at 5237 Clanranald Ave.

Works from 30 artists will be on display including traditional, contemporary and abstract styles. Works range in price from $50 to $300 and some paintings are already framed. Sculptures, jewelry and blank cards will also be on sale. 

Located on the second floor of the Congregation Chevra Kadisha B’nai Jacob – Beith Hazikaron, the Creative Social Center is affiliated with Côte Saint-Luc. Many of the group’s 175 members reside in Côte Saint-Luc. The Creative Social Center was founded by Helen Knight on November 28, 1982.

In addition to painting classes, the Creative Social Centre also organizes aerobics, jewelry making, computer classes, drawing, folk dancing, and sculpture workshops. The courses are open to members and non-members. Membership costs $30 per year.
