Aung San Suu Kyi to be honoured by Côte Saint-Luc and U2 in July

Aung San Suu Kyi to be honoured in Côte Saint-LucCôte Saint-Luc, June 30, 2011 – A week before U2 honours Aung San Suu Kyi at its concerts at the Hippodrome, the City of Côte Saint-Luc will unveil a plaque honouring the Burmese opposition leader on the city’s Human Rights Walkway.

Côte Saint-Luc launches bicycle paths

Côte Saint-Luc, June 27, 2011 – The City of Côte Saint-Luc launched a bicycle route along an 10-kilometer stretch in the northern half of the city, as part of an initiative to encourage residents to stay active.

The route will mostly be on-street with sections through some parks. It will follow Mackle Rd., Blossom Ave., Wavell Rd., and Marc Chagall Ave., and some additional connecting roads. In addition, the route will go through Shuster Park and Pierre Elliott Trudeau Park.
