V-E Day 2009 recap
The annual Victory in Europe (V-E) Day commemoration ceremony took place on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 2pm at Veterans Park, which is located next to the library at 5851 Cavendish Blvd.
The annual event is organized by the Brigadier Frederick Kisch Branch 97 of the Royal Canadian Legion and the City of Côte Saint-Luc.V-E Day was May 7 and May 8, 1945, the dates when the Second World War Allies formally accepted the unconditional surrender of the armed forces of Nazi Germany.
